Maxilin sweets are made by Maxilin Ltd., a liquorice producer based in Bolton, Lancashire. Kenneth Gregory and associates founded the company in 1946. Maxilin is known for their liquorice flyers, which are soft liquorice sticks filled with fruit-flavored sugar crystals. The centers of the flyers are still hand filled and capped in the Maxilin factory, the same way they have been since 1946.
